Thrombexin - like all thrombosis prophylaxis stockings - is primarily indicated for immobilised and bed-ridden patients, and those who have already had a thrombosis.

Thus thrombexin, with a narrow sizes range (3 normal, 2 extra-wide sizes) offers the broadest possible spectrum of indications.


Useful features such as the >intelligent< silicone topband and




the soft, padded heel area provide additional safety and ensure maximum comfort.




Thanks to the two-way stretch knitting technique, there is no need for different lengths. While other suppliers mean switching to expensive stockings with hip attachments, or even to costly and time consuming bandaging, thrombexin provides reliable, medically correct care for thigh circumferences of up to 90 cm. In addition, the optimised range of sizes reduces costs for storage, capital tie-up and processing (grading and sorting costs).

Thrombexin stockings are equal to a pressure at the ankle of Class 2 (30 - 40mm Hg) ONLY while the wearer is in a prone (lying down) position. When standing the pressure is only 18mm Hg at the ankle.
