PROPERTIES: A leading product equals peace of mind. Podiatric silicone compound conforms to the most demanding scientific standards and is formulated for medical use only. Lab tests include all aspects of clinical behavior: appearance, exudation, working time, vulcanization, hardness after 8 minutes (shore 00), hardness after 24 hours (shore A), uniformity of vulcanization (mm/10), density (gr/cm2), mechanical properties such as toughness and stretchability (100%), and resistance to tearing. The results confirm Serie Oro as a market leader in its field. Proven to be totally hypoallergenic. A non-adhesive, light pink, silicone putty for the making of elastic, durable, non-deformable foot orthoses of agreeable texture and of direct application to the skin. It reacts favorably to both kinds of curing agent, liquid or paste. It is made available in sealed 500 gr. jars. Its homogeneous consistency permits direct mixing with the curing agent without any previous kneading. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: 1.- Carefully select the amount of putty for the needed orthosis. Try to avoid adding after the initial fabrication. 2.- Add catalyst onto the putty and knead thoroughly for up to 30 seconds until uniform impregnation has been achieved. (A golf ball size amount of silicone requires approximately 7 to 8mm of paste catalyst). 3.- Make a ball of the putty by gently rubbing it in your hands in order to avoid creases in the final product. 4.- Apply with care on the chosen foot area and form to the desired shape with gentle padding. Important note regarding the Luga Catalyst: - Once the required amount has been delivered, cap the tube in order to prevent crystallization of the curing agent. - Avoid contact with eyes or mouth and wash hands after fabrication of an orthosis.
